Photographing Colorado - My 4 Visual Themes

In my 36 years photographing natural scenes in Colorado, I have concentrated on 4 basic visual themes: The first being trees - in all forms, especially old and twisted trees; the second being wildflowers - brilliant reds and blues to contrast with the grey mountains above; the third being Aspen leaves - the yellow, orange, and gold colors of the Fall; the fourth being snow on the trees and mountains - landscapes in white. You can see many variations of these visual themes in my shop above. Images are like messages, and in photographing Colorado, I stay on message with these 4 themes. For 27 years on Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado, thousands of people from all over the country and the world bought memories in the 4 variations of the beautiful state they visited. My original gallery COLORADO SCENICS, is now online.
